Dennareo Gilmore, MS, MFT-I
Welcome! I applaud you for taking the first step in your mental well-being. This is a beautiful journey that I want to accompany you on, as you gain insight into figuring out many of life's obstacles. Whether you are having performance related issues with a sport or other demanding position, balancing the stress of being a first time parent and existing in your many other roles, seeking guidance prior to a marital union or merging out of a relationship or marriage and attempting to figure out YOU again, I am here for you!
My expertise includes working with division-1 level collegiate athletes of all sports, active duty military members and their families, as well as those 65 years old and older transitioning out of the workspace and battling isolation and loneliness. Life throws many things at us all, but we often deal with these issues alone or avoid them altogether. I possess the ability to listen, empower, and collaborate with you in order to navigate these life changes in a way that is real, yet effective.
My approach focuses on the strengths that are already in place and I incorporate the use of Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Structural Therapy, as well as Strategic Family Therapy in order to get to the root of the issue and begin to develop realistic and consistent behavior change. I aim to empower you and walk with you in your journey while challenging you in an optimistic and healthy way.
If you're tentative, you're not alone. If you're scared, you're not alone. If you lack the motivation, you're not alone! I invite you to lean into all of the things that are holding you back and understand that you have someone who will conquer those fears alongside you.
Know and find confidence in the fact that I have created a safe and confidential space for you and I value your overall wellbeing and view of yourself! I look forward to speaking with you soon.
